Spanish FA president Luis Rubiales has been provisionally suspended by Fifa following his conduct at the women’s World Cup final in Sydney last weekend.

Rubiales has refused to resign from his post after kissing Jenni Hermoso – who has stressed she did not consent – on the lips, prompting Fifa to step in.

A Fifa statement said: “The chairman of the Fifa Disciplinary Committee, Jorge Ivan Palacio (Colombia), in use of the powers granted by article 51 of the Fifa Disciplinary Code (FDC), has decided today to provisionally suspend Mr. Luis Rubiales from all football-related activities at national and international level.

And SFA is threatening to sue Jenni Hermoso. Kind of pathetic when Fifa has the moral high ground here.

And the writing was in the freaking wall, this was too much for FIFA to ignore as usual. I don’t understand why the rest of the federation decided this was the hill they wanted to die on.

They are threatening to sue her for lying and defamation? Wtf? People saw the kiss and everything I’ve read about the situation sounds like all she did was say that she never consented to it. SFA can get fucked.

They’re claiming they can call you to play for the National team and you can’t skip out.

It’s like a fucking draft for soccer, except it’s by pervy old men.
