This one is from a few months ago. My first Lion’s mane.
Substrate recipe and protocol: 5 cups (weight: 850 g) oak hardwood pellets
1.25 cups (weight: 65 g) wheat bran
1.4 L water
Place substrate in grow bag (polypropylene, 25 x 50 cm), wait for the hardwood pellets to expand. Sterilize the bag in a pressure cooker for 1 hr 30 min. Allow the substrate to cool over night.
Inoculate using about 1L of fully colonized Lion’s mane grain spawn.
Wait 3 - 4 weeks for full colonization.
Make a cut in the bag. Place the substrate block in a humid place (60% - 90% RH), and lightly mist daily.
