What are we listening to today?
Thought I'd see who's about and whether we could get a thread going on music recommendations from what we're jamming today. I started off with The Presidents - [Dune Buggy](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ebeY3zrkvM) as an ear worm, which was very much agreeable.

Stefanie Sun has not released an album since 2017 — so her audience took her voice into their own hands.

I just found out ambient country was a thing and I love it. Can anyone recommend me any bands or tracks they like?
I've been a fan of Earth for a long time (although I wouldn't have made the connection). SUSS and Mute Duo also seem really good.

I created a music-oriented instance
Hey everyone! Full acknowledgement, I'm a pophead. Better or worse, it's who I am. I love Zeppelin, I've seen live Pink Floyd, Foreigner, The Who, even Van Halen (_not Van Hagar_), but at the end of the day, I do love me some Taylor Swift. So, I put my love of pop music and homelabbing together and here we are, https://poptalk.scrubbles.tech/. The post here explains why, but the pop community on Reddit has always been a fun one for me, and I want to make sure if there is a mass exodus of people out of there they have a place to land. I'm currently leaving community creation open right now, I would like to officially welcome other popheads, BTS stans, swifties, Jepsies, Angels, whatever to the PopTalk server, a place to talk about pop music. (or any other band communities you may want to create). I know it may not be for everyone, but for those few who love a good hype thread, I hope you enjoy it.

Had never heard of Fever Ray before this album. I've been stuck on it.

This is an incredible independent rock band. If you have the chance to see them, then please don't miss the opportunity. They have a lot of free content on YouTube if you need convincing.

Signs of Infinite Power - Fu Manchu (Rock 2009)
Fuzzy summer music from the album of the same name - Not one of their class albums, but fun nonetheless

cross-posted from: https://sopuli.xyz/post/516926 > Unsurprisingly sounds a lot like Cloudkicker, though without the harder edge (from what I've heard from him)

We’re a collective of individuals upset with the way social media has been traditionally governed. A severe lack of moderation has led to major platforms like Facebook to turn into political machinery focused on disinformation campaigns as a way to make profit off of users. Websites with ineffective moderation allow hate speech to proliferate and contribute to the erosion of minority rights and safe spaces. Our goal with Beehaw is to demonstrate and promote a healthier environment.

    Some thoughts on our philosophy:

Operating our server costs money. If you donate, you should know that 100% of the costs will go towards server time, licensing costs, and artwork. In the future if we need to hire developers or other labor, it would be sourced through the Open Collective Foundation, and it would be transparent to the community before any changes were made.

As a news aggregator and a social media outlet, with a focus on being a safe and accepting space, we strive to create a positive social impact. We will, also, help to connect underprivileged and minority individuals with education and civic participation by promoting a healthier online experience.
